Purpose of an Apostille
An Apostille certifies documents for recognition by Hague Convention member countries, eliminating the need for double certification. A document authenticated by one member country is valid in another. The Apostille, either a stamp or a printed form, contains ten numbered fields with a title in French, as required by the Convention for validity.
